Palak Chicken

 
Ingredients:

Chicken– 1 lb
Palak/Spinach –1 bunch
ginger paste – 1/4 tsp
garlic paste –1/4 tsp
Onions – 1 & 1/2
Tomatoes – 2
Curds –1tbsp
Zeera powder – 1/4 tsp
Corrainder powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp
Kasuri methi – -1/4 tsp
Cashew nuts–5
Oil
salt
 
Method:

1. Clean palak and chop them. Microwave the chopped palak/spinach for 4 mins.Then grind them along with the cashew nuts into a fine paste.

2. Marinate the cleaned chicken meat with curds and all the above spice powder for 1 hour & keep aside.

3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add ginger and garlic paste and fry till the raw smell is completely gone.

4. Then add chopped onions and fry till light pink in color.

5. Add to this the marinated chicken and fry for 7 minutes till the chicken is lightly roasted.

6. Add the chopped tomatoes and little water and fry till the chicken is well cooked.

7. Add the spinach/palak paste and cook for another 5 minutes.

8. At the end add kasuri methi and remove from the stove top.

9. Serve this with rice or roti.
